Moved the camper into the RV park inside Yellowstone in the morning, after stopping at Norris to see the Steamboat Geyser. Apparently it does go off once in awhile, but the steam that comes out of that thing all the time is impressive all by itself!
After lunch we headed to Old Faithful. Got there just in time - she erupted about 20 minutes after we arrived. She had a few false starts and then the water just started shooting in the air. Way cool.
We walked around the "geyser field" - there were bubbling geysers, geyser wanna-be's, and places that the signs say are geysers but didn't look like they've burst forth with water at any time in the recent past.
After Old Faithful, we motored onward to the Canyon - climbed part-way down to the lower falls on Uncle Tom's Trail - decided that it really was for the younger crowd - and returned to the top to get a great view of the upper falls. Then we continued down the south rim of the canyon to see the lower falls. Great shots!
After that, we traveled northward toward Tower Fall and into Grizzly country. Looked and looked and looked... no bears.
We returned home... deflated. Where are the bears????
